This past saturday the Charlottesville community got moving at the Charlottesville Running Company 5K run and Canine 5K run/walk at Mint Springs Park in Crozet. Only about 15 miles away from C-ville, Mint Springs is one of those hidden places that once you find it you can’t believe you have been living in Charlottesville without going there frequently.
If you remember back to the weekend, the heat was definitely a factor, and the runners and walkers (both on 2 and 4 legs!) had to remember to stay hydrated. Shortly after the races were finished, one of the beach areas opened up allowing both dogs and people to enjoy a cool soak. Hanging out at the park that day reminded me of just how many areas the Charlottesville community has that make it so enjoyable to get out and get moving!
